Many requests start with a camera count: 'we need eight cameras for the yard.' The question that should come first is what the camera actually needs to make recognizable. A general overview that shows someone approaching the gate needs different optics than a camera meant to read a license plate at night — which again differs sharply from a camera that has to resolve faces for identification.
